MORE ABOUT ME!

Joanie Helgesen is a classically trained Harpist who became a professional Harpist at age 10.
Later, she won a music scholarship to the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
She has played with symphony orchestras in the Midwest and California.

In 1996, Ms. Helgesen started Tap Dancing lessons which became a new love.
She has appeared singing and dancing in 'Anything Goes',
'A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum',
'The Best Little Whorehouse In Texas'
and in 2001,'Sweet Charity' all in Palm Springs, CA.
She is now honored to be a Tap Dancer,
Harpist and Showgirl with the talented performers of
'The Original Florida Follies'.

In April 2007, Joanie was crowned Ms. Senior Florida America 2007!
The contestants were judged on talent, an interview with the judges,
their philosophy of Life and their evening gown.

In Las Vegas in the Ms Sr America 2007 pageant she was
voted by the judges in the final top ten in the country based again
on talent, interview with the judges, their philosophy of Life and their evening gown.
